This is what I found and tried to depict in the best way on how to write a thesis statement..the condensed version:
A thesis statement tells the reader the significance of the subject (which is heart disease) under a discussion. It's considered a road map to the paper: in other words, it tells the reader what to expect from the rest of the paper. It can sometimes be a simple sentence in your first paragraph that presents your argument to your reader.
It's a lengthy thinking process. You have to collect and organize evidence., look for relationships between known facts (finding a contrast and a similarity), and it helps to think about the relationship's significance.
Trust me I think it would be in your best interest to Google the subject of heart disease as there are literally THOUSANDS of links and websites to go by. Other than that, maybe ask your teacher about ways on how to start the thesis statement after you do all of your research about the subject. There are sooo many ways to begin one, and I'm not certified to teach that. Good luck and I hope this helped :)
