Heart Disease: About Heart diseases....?

About Heart diseases....?What are the common symptoms of heart disease?
what are the symptoms by that can it be suspected that the person may have heart disease? without ECG,ECO or other pathology exams
what is the LDL-C and HDL-C limit by which it can be worried that he/she may have heart attack?

Answer by peqli
common symptoms may include
chest pain especially on exertion
low exercise tolerance
breathlessness
faints or dizziness
palpitations
the need to sleep with more than one pillow at night
waking up in the middle of night feeling breathless

the only way to know the likelihood of an individual to have a heart disease is for him to see a doctor so he could do a complete history and physical examination and he may have to do the necessary investigations, like ECG etc.
there is no particular sign that will pinpoint a symptom as being attributed to a heart condition

the level of LDL cholesterol should be less than 3.3 mmol/L while the level of HDL cholesterol should be more than 1 mmol/L
if they are outside the limits they might need lipid lower drug (statin)

it does not necessarily mean that they will get a heart attack, but it puts them at higher risk than the normal population to get one (like not everyone who smokes gets heart attack or dies from lung cancer but many actually do)
