TYPE II (SUGAR DIABETES)

TRACK: TYPE II (SUGAR DIABETES) Artist: BRICK CASEY LABEL: Awareness Media Group, Inc. Avail: Itunes, CDBABY, and more... ******************************** TYPE II (SUGAR DIABETES) Thousands of people die each year to this illness...and believe it or not...Diabetes, (TYPE II), is totally preventable. There are many complications that come from sugar diabetes; such as heart disease, kidney disease, blindness or other eye problems, nerve damage, skin conditions, depression...and in some cases amputation. Despite the warnings, many people continue to maintain poor diets and fail to exercise regularly. Statistics for persons in America that have been diagnosed with sugar diabetes, (Type II), are staggering. 20.8 Million people are affected... and 6 million of these people do not even know that they have the illness, (2005). So what do we do? Well...we can start by creating a healthier America. By being more thoughtful about our food choices and the activities that we partake in, we will be able to create healthier lifestyles that will ultimately lessen the amount of persons affected by this illness. Sure, Awareness Media may seem to only be speaking about this issue... but I, (BRICK CASEY), have seen first hand the damaging affects that diabetes has on a family, a culture and a community. We need change here people...eat right, exercise and live. Diabetes is no joke. Sincerely, BRICK CASEY

Smoking and your Health

The health effects of tobacco are the circumstances, mechanisms, and factors of tobacco consumption on human health. Epidemiological research have been focused primarily on tobacco smoking,[1] which has been studied more extensively than any other form of consumption.[2] Tobacco use leads most commonly to diseases affecting the heart and lungs, with smoking being a major risk factor for heart attacks, strokes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, and cancer (particularly lung cancer, cancers of the larynx and mouth, and pancreatic cancer). It also causes peripheral vascular disease and hypertension, all developed due to the exposure time and the level of dosage of tobacco. Furthermore, the earlier and the higher level of tar content in the tobacco filled cigarettes causes the greater risk of these diseases. Due to higher levels of tar content in third world countries, people who smoke in third world countries are more vulnerable to diseases. Poorer nations also lack the inclusion of filters that richer nations have, however the mortality rate does not show a significant decrease due to filters as many people, filter or no filter, die due to the main reason being their addiction and intake of tobacco.[3]
