Heart Disease: Do astrologers really know more than we do?

Do astrologers really know more than we do?I wasn't such a huge believer in astrology, until I had a couple of readings of my own natal chart on a astrological forum. It is striking how their predictions were correct, now I believe there is more truth into astrology......but still I am confused that even though most are correct, predictions differ so much from each other. One astrologer told me I will get killed in a car accident, the other one said it will be a heart disease that will kill me, and third one cancer........

What do you think? Should I believe in these predictions or discard them? If astrology is all bogus, why do they give free readings on the forums, they really look like they want to help people? One famous astrologer there even said that she knew she won't die from cancer when she got it, as she that with help of her natal chart.

No. Astrology is porcine feces.

Its not rational, objective, scientific, reasonable, or whatever else have you, to reject mysticism just because youre afraid of it or find the evidence lacking, or find it challenges your world-view. In fact, Id go so far as to call that bigoted, ignorant, and fanatical.

Do I personally believe in astrology? No. I dont. But I havent seen evidence one way or the other to say with any absolute certainty. Can anyone here say the same, or am I the only truly unbiased, open-minded rational individual here? Im reminded of the individuals who mock Eastern herbal medicines, known since ancient times, then turn around and purify them into prescription grade pharmaceuticals that do the same thing herbalists credit them for.

Do I think that the position of the planet Pluto will help me find love tomorrow? No, absolutely not. I believe in free will and I believe the world is much too complex. The daily Horoscope is absurd. Not only does it take away from free-will (in my mind contrary to what mysticism and spiritualism represent) but it replaces it with determinism (which in fact is in agreement with the atheists and skeptics who criticize it). In addition, though, Horoscopes are typically far too vague for me to be shocked by its apparent validity after the fact.

BUT... is it possible that subtle gravitational forces and their unique alignments among one another can effect a young, developing fetal brain and in turn manifest character traits? Well, as difficult to believe as it is, I concede the possibility. Even the slightest hormonal imbalance or artificial chemical in the mothers blood stream can affect development in significant ways. We are always tossing around blame: genetics, hormones, etc, and very often we leave little to choice or experience. We have the science to detect gravitational field strength, after all, is it so hard to believe that the same subtle forces can affect neuron development? We still have no idea what makes one person unique from another, all the variables that go into a "soul" - even identical twins have contrasting personalities as infants, with nothing to explain it besides their relative orientation in the womb.

Aside from that, Astrology was my very first introduction to the practice of plotting planetary bodies and predicting celestial events. If any old home-grown retard or gypsy can do it, what the hell to astronomers get so much credit for? I learned at the age of ten to do what college grads are still trying to figure out. Components of astronomy are the same as that of astrology, they both go back hand-in-hand to ancient times.

The cool thing about Astrology is that you get to have your birth chart done. I think its really cool to know where the planets were when you were born, a sort of connection to the world. I dont know any astronomers willing to sit down and do that for you.

Astrologers are very astute.
They know what people want to be told.
So they tell people what they want to hear.

Of course they can't predict the future.
But they can remove your money from you, and leave you thinking that you had a good deal.

They know sod all. They cannot predict or read anything. Most are scammers and will rip you off, a few have the mistaken belief they are for real and when tested they fail. They fail every time. What they did with you is cold reading.

Free reading on forums. Its a sense of superiority. I know more than you etc and look at me doing this for free and all that. Self centred charlatans and snake oil sales people.
