what heart condition does the boy in John Q have?All that I've come to know is that he has to have a transplant because his heart failed and he has an enlarged heart. Does anyone know the specific name of the heart condition that he has?

There might be no specific condition. Enlarged heart (or enlarged regions of heart) can be caused by a variety of prenatal defects, diseases (such as valve stenosis), and is a symptom among other problems (like congestive heart failure, with its various causes). In what I've heard of, enlarged heart is usually a symptom, though it does cause its own problems because that portion is weaker or it messes up the amount of blood being pumped, etc.
Honestly, I've seen shows where people are in desperate need of surgery and they don't even say what region of their body is effected.
