what are the most common diseases among cattle?

what are the most common diseases among cattle?for research paper. It would be nice if it included more than 4 common diseases with cattle. I'd prefer someone who knows about cattle.

(Not scientific, just personal experience). Around here our most common problems are pink-eye and hoof-rot. I know there are problems with different diseases in different parts of the country. You vaccinate for the things common in your area. Some we don't need to worry about vaccinating for here. I would think "Google" could help. Good luck

The problem I checked for every day was mastitis. It is common in dairy cattle and easily cured. In fact it is common in most milk bearing animals including humans.

Years ago it was TB (tuberculosis). These days they keep a strict check on all dairy herds for this dreadful disease.

In Spring time when the grass is really fresh, dairy cattle can get a condition known as bloat. The grass in springtime contains lots of nitrogen. As a cow has four stomachs, a build up of gas in one of their stomachs cannot get released. If drastic action isn't taken, the animal will die.

Brucellosis, Blackleg, Hardware and Bangs

Depends on location, and weather they are beef or dairy cattle. I would say the biggest killer of cattle is pneumonia. Foot rot, pink eye, lumpy jaw, milk fever, navel infection, red nose, and coccidiosis could also be contenders.

Some diseases are now rare but present huge problems for farmers and ranchers. These would include Johnes, Brucelosis, Tuberculosis, and Foot and Mouth.

Brucellosis, Blackleg, Shipping Fever (pneumonia), Bangs, Cancer Eye, Mastitis, Conjunctivitis (pink eye), Parasitic worms, Scours ( in baby calves ) and Hardware Disease (but that is really eating something indigestible).
